About Me

My Photo
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Life in the historic town of Windsor, flanked by the Hawkesbury River is idyllic. So much beauty, so many sensory gifts touch my life. My passion is drawing. It's absolute simplicity is it's gift and it's challenge. The gift: instant communication from head and heart to hand and paper. The challenge: to be constantly present with the work, to leave the World behind, and stay open to inspiration flooding in. If not, then pencil as a medium is unforgiving. I've been creating art professionally since 1995. Five Solo, many Group Exhibitions and commissions and creating whimsical art for eBay have kept me busy for years. I love the Miniature. As a balance my ocean paintings and large Equine graphites are spirited and airy! I rode horses from the age of 8,finding a life~long love and empathy with them when my first pony came to live with us. Patches, the fiery pinto taught me the meaning of tenacity, independance, patience, love, and facing my disappointments. Her beautiful red chestnut coat flashed with snow white, inspired my imagination. Horses continue to power my creativity, their beauty and spirit are endlessly inspiring! Jen

Spirals recur in my paintings and drawings, as it seems to me this is how time "is".. why do I feel no different in the essence of me, than when I was 20, or 23, or 25, the ages of my children now.. To think of my life as a journey along a straight line is depressing at worst, and just simply doesn't make sense at best. On an energy spiral, I envision we can step across to an earlier part of the life~line, in dream, memory, imagination, discussion, truth. In any case, it's a fun way of drawing! These are some spirals and reflections on our journeys, most recent in my miniature art.
